Empties – all my empty stuff

Hello! Long time no speak – lately my life has been super hectic and I haven’t had two minutes to write. However, I’ve really missed sitting down to write a blog post and so I cleared a bit of room in my schedule and here I am. This post is an Empties post of all the stuff that I have used up lately, and my opinions. I hope you enjoy.

1. NSPA Brightening Day Cream

First on the list is this day cream from NSPA, an extremely affordable skincare brand that you can buy in your local supermarket.  I did actually really enjoy this – it wasn’t too heavy on the skin which I imagined it would be with it having SPF 15 in it. The only downfall to this product, however, is that it isn’t particularly moisturising on the skin. For this reason, I probably would not look at re-purchasing this item as I prefer my day cream to be super hydrating.

2. No7 Airbrush Away Primer

This is my favourite ever drugstore primer. I have used countless tubes of this stuff, and find that it is incredible. It really does blur out your pores, but is also very impressive at improving the longevity of your makeup. It is a more silicone based primer, which I’m not usually a big fan of, but I do absolutely love it. I have already started another tube of this – a true testimony for a great product.

3. L’Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Pen

I’m pretty sure that this exact product featured in my last empties post. I adore this under-eye concealer – it is extremely lightweight and very brightening. Definitely the concealer that I would choose to use when the bags under my eyes are almost hitting the floor. I haven’t repurchased this yet, as I’m trying to work my way through my stash of concealer, but it is on my list as soon as there is some space in my collection.

4. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer – Fair/Neutral

Yet another concealer that I’ve worked my way through. This stuff is amazing – super full coverage and finally a concealer that matches my pale ass skin. Definitely worth both the hype and the money. Since using this one up, I have purchased another and I am well on the way to finishing that one too.

5. MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist

I have finally finished this product up. I imagine that this stuff was probably well past its expiry date, as it was definitely a couple of years old. This was the first setting spray that I ever tried, and for a couple of pounds it is actually very good. I wouldn’t necessarily say that it improves the longevity of my makeup, but it was very hydrating and made my makeup melt into my skin. I probably wouldn’t purchase this again, but it is one to bear in mind if you are on a budget.

6. Blistex Intensive Moisturiser

I have incredibly dry lips – this has always been the case, and is something that I have struggled for years to remedy. This stuff is good, however, not the best stuff I have ever tried. I have finally used this tube up, but since finding the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream I would not be looking to repurchase this item.

7. Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Dry Shampoo

My hair is naturally a darkish blonde, which turns slightly lighter blonde in the summer. I love having light blonde hair, and so I get it professionally dyed to get it my favourite colour all year round. Blonde hair can be a pain in the ass to maintain, and means that I have to sometimes purchase products tailored to maintaining the colour. This dry shampoo is amazing, smells super nice and is tailored for dyed blonde hair.

8. Mark Hill Freeze Hold Hairspray

I got this as a sample size in a Christmas gifting set, and I have really enjoyed using it. Mainly for the scent, which is amazing. However, really, a hairspray is a hairspray and because there are so many other, equally as good ones, on the market I probably would not look at specifically purchasing this one.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed finally getting round to writing it. Let me know what you have used up lately and have been loving.

Lots of love,

Beth xx
