Holy Grail Foundations

I just apparently love talking about my Holy Grail products.  Once I find products that I love, I just want to recommend them to everyone, so here I go again, but this time with my all time favourite foundations.  Hope you enjoy.

High End:

1. MAC Studio Fix Foundation – NW10

Another controversial MAC product.  I know a lot of people that have tried this foundation and said that it broke them out, or looked a little too cakey.  However, this is my all time favourite, go-to foundation.  If I want high coverage and a flawless finish, that I know will last me all day long this is the foundation that I choose.  I usually use this on nights out, and find my skin looks just as flawless when I get home as when I left.

2. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation – Mont Blanc

I’ve said all along that I don’t feel like this is 100% my shade.  I got shade matched at the NARS counter in Leeds, and got the shade matched wrong.  I bought the foundation because I was in love with the finish of it but only after I left the shop did I realise that it wasn’t a perfect match.  However, as it is coming back into the Summer months and my fake tan is making a reappearance, I am in love.  One of my favourite foundations, and I’m tempted to buy a shade to match my everyday skin.

3. Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation – Y205

Another fabulous high end purchase.  This foundation is my exact shade, and this brand offer so many amazing shades to suit all skin tones.  It provides a medium finish, which is why I enjoy it so much as most of my foundation products are a much more high coverage finish.  Definitely one to give a try.

Drugstore:

1. L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation – Porcelain

One of the latest offerings from the drugstore, and the premise of total coverage had me stood at the till in Boots with this in hand.  I adore this.  This completely fulfil’s the promise that it aims for, and provides extremely full coverage that surprisingly lasts all day.  Much better than I expected, and I will definitely be repurchasing.

2. Revlon Colourstay Foundation – Ivory

A cult favourite, how could I not try this stuff out?! This foundation is old enough that it’s still in the bottle minus the pump (Revlon have now listened to the cry of the blogging community and added a pump to their bottles).  There is a reason why this is a cult favourite – probably because it’s bloody amazing.

3. L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Foundation – Porcelain3. L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Foundation – Porcelain

Another favourite of mine from L’Oreal, who just seem to kill it with their foundation offerings.  This was my original favourite, and I have gone through bottles and bottles of this stuff.  Provides beautiful coverage, and is one of my most used daytime foundations.  Definitely one to give a go if you want a lighter amount of coverage than some of the other foundations that I have featured.

So, there you have it.  Another Holy Grail blog post.  I hope these aren’t getting too boring, but personally they are my favourite posts to read because I love to learn what makeup people are particularly passionate about. Let me know if you have any great foundation recommendations!

Lots of love,

Beth x
