My Skin Care Routine

Caring for your skin is one of the most important things that you can do.  I have always struggled with my face.  Having very troubled, acne prone skin growing up left my face a rather scarred, red mess.  Not ideal, and definitely not what you want your natural skin to look like.  Since then, I have been on the hunt for affordable skincare options that improve my face, and I found some absolutely amazing finds that I thought I would share with you.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

This is maybe my favourite cleanser ever.  Everyone and their dog has been talking about this cleanser, so I thought I would give it a whirl.  I was not disappointed.  What is a thick balm in the container turns into a creamy, milky texture when mixed with water on the face.  Unscented and ideal for sensitive skin, I can use this on my eyes to get my eye makeup off without it irritating them one bit.  Definitely a must have.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

This is my staple cleansing water.  I am a big fan of double cleansing these days, especially to get off that tricky mascara that always seems to be welded onto my eyelashes.  This is the only cleansing water I have found that is both gentle and effective.  It removes makeup perfectly, without smearing it around my face or irritating my eyes.  Not quite as effective for the whole face, but for eye makeup it is the best.

Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Cleansing & Toning Lotion

My toner of choice.  Mention the words ‘tea tree’ and ‘skincare’ to me and I am there.  Tea tree is one thing that always makes a noticeable difference to my face, and I have gone through at least four bottles of this stuff.  Perfect for taking off the last of your face makeup and leaving your skin feeling squeaky clean.

Aloe Pura Aloe Vera Gel

This is a lifesaver.   If you struggle with redness and scarring, give this a try.  It is probably the most satisfying, cooling feeling ever and the bottle lasts for ages.  I can’t rave enough about this product.

Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Charcoal Facial Scrub

If I ever fancy a bit of facial exfoliation, this is the product that I reach for.  Not too harsh, but just rough enough to make your face feel silky smooth afterwards.  Also, if you were to imagine the scent of cleanliness this would be it.  Amazing.

Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Night Gel

I promise this post is not sponsored.  Yet another gem from the Boots range.  Hugely affordable yet one of the best products I have ever used.  So moisturising and has active ingredients to work on your skin whilst you sleep, what more can you ask for?

NSpa Deep Hydrating Facial Oil

I’m always on the look out for affordable oils and serums.  This oil is amazing, very hydrating without being sticky or greasy.  I usually take two drops and pat it into my skin, in places where it gets dry.  Definitely one to check out.

Boots Ingredients Sheet Face Mask

The first, and the only, masks that I have found that don’t break me out into a million and one pimples.  I am in love.  I am currently using the Lotus Flower and Tiger Lily mask which is incredible.  £2.50 each, you can’t go wrong.

So those were my staple skincare favourites, most of which I have purchased multiple times.  Go on, treat yo self.

Lots of love,

Beth x
